He was very professional and he went above and beyond to get my dryer cleaned out and fire proof safe. My dryer was disconnected up in my attic and he help me locate where it was disconnected and he gave me tape so I can repair it. My dryer was not hooked up properly and he took the extra time to hook it up to safety and didn’t charge me. He is very good at what he does and he gets the job done right! I really appreciate he’s business and recommend him for getting your dryer cleaned for fire safety.

Our 10 year old washer was making horrible noises so we called Charlie for help. He was able to find the problem and fix our washer. Does your company install Dryer vent ducts?2022-05-11T08:47:46+00:00

Yes, we will modify or replace dryer vents that fit the home or needs of the customer. Some dryer vents that are neglected may accumulate so much lint that it becomes saturated with moisture until it begins to sag, collapse or disconnect under the house, in the walls or in the attic. Repairing or replacing dryer vents may be necessary if the material is outdated or damaged.

How to prevent dryer vent fires?2024-05-15T08:23:07+00:00

Have your dryer vent cleaned at least 1 to 2 years. Also making sure the dryer cavity is cleaned of all the lint buildup inside.

What causes dryer vent fires?2024-05-15T08:21:46+00:00

When the airflow is restricted by lint buildup, it forces the heated air into the dryer cavity where lint is also deposited. That overheating affect in the dryer cavity can easily ignite the lint built up on top of the heating element, or gas burners.

Do clogged dryer vents cause fires?2024-05-15T08:25:01+00:00

Yes! When the airflow is restricted by lint buildup, it forces the heated air into the dryer cavity where lint is also deposited. That overheating affect in the dryer cavity can easily ignite the lint built up on top of the heating element, or gas burners.

How can you tell if your dryer vent is clogged?2024-05-15T08:27:32+00:00

The clothes will not dry with one cycle, like it did when it was new.

What can happen when a dryer vent is blocked?2024-05-15T08:28:17+00:00

The dryer vent being blocked is one of the main reasons for failures in the dryer. It could be a heating element, or the high-limit fuse going out. It will cause the dryer to overheat and force lint into the dryer cavity and could cause a fire.

How much will it cost to clean a dryer vent?2024-05-15T08:28:33+00:00

Our standard price is $139, and a dryer cavity cleaning add-on is an additional $80. If there is a need to go on the roof, attic, or crawl space – that will carry an additional charge.

How long can a dryer vent be?2024-05-15T08:28:50+00:00

The standard is less than 30 feet. The shorter the better, and the fewer turns the better.

What is a dryer exhaust vent, and where do i find it?2024-05-15T08:29:06+00:00

Dryer vents exhaust or exit to the outside of the house through the roof, or travel under the house to an outside termination. You can often find the exhaust next to the A/C unit outside, or straight up to the roof from the back of the dryer.

How often should you clean a dryer vent?2024-05-15T08:29:25+00:00

FEMA.gov recommends cleaning your dryer vent once annually, but it can depend on many variables. The number of people in the house causes the use of the dryer to go up. The length of the dryer vent pipe can factor into the amount of air being pushed from the dryer and will lose velocity and cause more lint to settle in the dryer vent. Anything over 30 feet can stress the dryer motor. A good rule of thumb is to not wait longer than 2 years for any size house or family.

You do Appliance Repair?2024-05-15T08:10:36+00:00

We work on all makes and models.

How often do you get you dryer and dryer vent cleaned out?2024-05-15T08:30:15+00:00

FEMA.gov recommends once annually! It can depend on the amount of use the dryer has, and the size of the loads. It is a safe bet to not wait longer than 2 years for average use, but at least once annually for heavy use. Even every 6 months may be needed if your dryer is used in a business setting like a hair salon or pet grooming!

Why do I need to clean my dryer cavity?2024-05-15T08:22:03+00:00

The accumulation of lint is inevitable. The amount of lint accumulation will vary based on use, fabrics, and time. All situations are different from one dryer to the next. We will always recommend dryer cavity cleaning if the dryer is more than 3 years old. Also, the vent being clogged or restricted will exacerbate the amount of lint buildup inside the dryer.

What are other benefits of the full service fire prevention for the dryer?2020-06-26T22:19:20+00:00

We go through all the moving parts of the dryer to inspect components condition and productivity. Most people will see a savings on the power bill when the dryer isn’t working as hard.

Why do you call your business Dryer on Fire?2024-05-15T08:31:58+00:00

We have seen 18 dryer cavity fires! This is a real problem, and we hope to spread awareness!
